Cama Group presents the MTL Monoblock packaging machine: “A concentrate of mechanical, mechatronics and robotic excellence”.
Cama Group pushes the bar of excellence in secondary packaging a little higher by designing the MTL Monoblock, a packaging machine capable of simultaneously managing different types of products and cardboard package formats. An authentic revolution in the field of adaptive production, made possible thanks to the partnership with the industrial automation and mechatronics expert B&R.
The absolute preview presentation was held on May 15th, at Cama Group new headquarter in Molteno (Lecco).
In detail, the MTL Monoblock system allows the synchronized feeding of three power lines towards a single top loader. “Unlike a traditional machine, with MTL Monoblock it is possible to make the most of the times and cycles of each station, significantly increasing overall productivity and reducing overall dimensions to a minimum,” underlines Alessandro Rocca, sales director of Cama Group .
“We are therefore talking about a machine of new conception, created to meet challenging objectives of speed and dynamism, totally modular and scalable”. MTL Monoblock is capable of handling 2,000 skus per minute, at a speed of 4 meters per second and with an acceleration of 50 meters/second. All this is made possible by the innovative ACOPOStrak transport system with independent magnetic trolleys, developed with B&R, which allows maximum flexibility in the management of different types of packages containing up to three different types of products.
The machine will soon fly to the United States, where it will enter (along with two other ‘twin’ models) the Edgewell Personal Care Company production plant. First, however, it will be on display at Pack Expo in Chicago (3-6 November 2024), at the Cama Group booth. “Matching our mechanical and product management expertise with the innovative handling technology developed by B&R, a true concentration of mechanical, mechatronic and robotic excellence here is born. An unprecedented solution, which today lives in a company active in the personal care world, but which in the future can meet the needs of many companies, even in the food sector”, comments the CEO of Cama Group, Daniele Bellante.
